Heather Dartez

Meredith Sand Designs Studio & Gallery was thrilled to welcome Orlando-based artist Heather Dartez as its newest resident artist. Heather, an award-winning watercolor and acrylic painter, brought her evocative Vintage Vibes series to the gallery, capturing the essence of “Old Florida” through nostalgic citrus labels and vibrant imagery.

Her work, deeply rooted in her upbringing in Clewiston, Florida, offered a heartfelt tribute to the state’s rich cultural heritage. The exhibition opened with a speakeasy-themed event on June 1, 2025, which featured live jazz by Hannah Stokes and curated cocktails from Otto’s High Dive, setting a lively tone for the showcase.

Beyond her artistic endeavors, Heather held a Doctorate in Business Administration and served as the Education Director of Graduate Studies at Full Sail University. She leveraged her extensive experience to mentor fellow artists on monetizing their art, combining creative passion with business acumen. Her works had been recognized by organizations such as the National and Florida Watercolor Societies and exhibited in esteemed venues like the Orlando Museum of Art and CityArts Factory. Visitors to Meredith Sand Designs experienced Heather’s unique blend of artistry and storytelling, making her residency a highlight for art enthusiasts in the Orlando area.
