Conditions of Closeness is a collection of works exploring a variety of paired creatures in the natural world, and how proximity gives meaning to these relationships- how topics such as survival, synchronization, dependence, and attunement emerge from shared spaces.
These pairings are not presented as fixed metaphors for human behavior, but as living systems that echo it and that we can find mirrors of ourselves in the tiniest of creatures. It proposes the thought that human life is not separate from these patterns, but in dialogue with them- a shared language of attachment, distance, and survival.
