Portals & Parables: Where Fandom Finds Us explores the deeper truths hiding within the fictional worlds we love. Inspired by characters and moments across fandom, the collection looks beyond the spectacle to familiar journeys of struggle, sacrifice, transformation, and return. Across galaxies and imagined worlds, these characters wrestle with questions much like our own—inviting us to look again at the stories we escape into and what they might reveal about the stories we’re living.
Xavier Moss is a Jamaican-American visual artist and educator whose work explores the intersections of nature, storytelling, and faith.
Known for his vivid color, biological imagery, and fluorescent layers, Moss creates work that invites viewers to look beyond what is immediately visible.
