Gnatcatchers are small, energetic birds that play an important role in maintaining balance in their environment. In this piece, twelve birds gather in community among patterned leaves, symbolizing connection and shared purpose. Touches of red in the abstract brushwork reflect a sense of the divine present in all things.
Inspired by both nature and everyday life, this work draws a parallel between the instinctive community of birds and the intentional communities we create, where even the smallest moments can become meaningful and sustaining.
